<image:title>Home - “The best thing about having a costume designed and created by Mischief Maker is…everything.</image:title>
<image:caption>Catrice knew what I wanted and needed before I did. As a curvy girl, I’ve had plenty of bad experiences with designers who don’t understand what's needed to hold and support my natural curves. My costume is wonderful. I feel secure enough to dance without distraction and it fts me like a glove. The quality is top notch. It’s custom and original so on one else has it but me. And best yet, I look drop dead gorgeous in it. It’s worth 10 times what I paid for it and I can't wait to order another one.” — Ro Raqs</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - “Mischief Maker Couture Design have been my personal costume designers for several years and I have never been happier.</image:title>
<image:caption>With 30 years as a professional Bellydancer, I have had costumes made by numerous designers from all over the world and truly the best designer team I have found is here in the USA. Mischief Maker’s start to finish design process ensures the fit designed for my body type. Their eye for detail began at the measurement process. They asked for measurements, I never thought of taking which ensured a perfect fit for my body type. The design consultation process of my body type, skin color and even undertone, they even had me send in videos of me dancing so they could watch how I danced to better accentuate my body. Every costume that I have purchased from them is so comfortable, never digging or grabbing on parts of my body. If you want a custom costume designer that is passionate, great eye for detail then look no further than Mischief Maker. They are a world class design company owned and operated by women, including a woman of color.” — Dr. Valerie aka Nerfertiti Bellydance</image:caption>

<image:caption>Our troupe wanted custom tear away skirts ( ya know, for when the occasion calls) that looked like liquid silver. The Mischief Makers helped us pick the material, scheme a design, and provided us with a custom for each dancer. They made us feel like a million bucks. We have worn these skirts now on many occasions, they are a troupe staple! Love you ladies! Mischief Managed!” — Jo Boring and the Lunachixs</image:caption>

<image:title>Boutique - Catrice Fairuza - Co-Owner & Co-Designer</image:title>
<image:caption>Catrice Fairuza, began her journey as a designer out of need. She joined a local troupe and one of the rules of the troupe is that every member had to have a matching colored costume for each month. Having talked to a few designers and shopped at a few online stores. She found nothing that was both beautiful and that could fit me. My next step was talking to several designers who told me that due to my size I would be up charged anywhere between $200-$400 for a 2-piece bra belt combo. I was really disheartened, sad and running out of time. I decided to Google how to make your own bra and belt. After buying a pillow at Jo Ann Fabrics and some supplies I started teaching myself to sew. While sewing I realized how much joy, and inspiration I found in making my own costumes, swimsuits, and clothes. I knew when I put on my costume it would fit me perfectly and look amazing on me. When you slip into a costume, dress or any piece of clothing made just for you, you’ll find you move differently.</image:caption>

<image:title>Boutique - Natasha Tripi - Garment Designer</image:title>
<image:caption>Natasha began designing dance costumes as a teenager for the Binghamton School of Ballet, in Binghamton NY. She enjoyed not only the challenge of bringing the director’s visions into physical existence, but also making these creations function in the extreme range of motion necessary for dance. From that time forward, Natasha dedicated herself to the art of costuming & would never be far away from the dance world. While pursuing her degree in Fashion Design at Buffalo State College, she worked closely with the theatre & dance departments there, creating garments for countless productions. Her contributions to both dance and costuming inspired her professors to create a student award in her honor – “Dance Minor of the Year”. After college, Natasha went on to work with many theatres and dance companies in the Buffalo area, and also many touring companies & celebrities, such as John Aston, and Henry Rollins. Later, Natasha went on to become the local wardrobe mistress for the Catskill Mountain Foundation, in Hunter, New York, working with Alvin Ailey, Jose Limon, the Russian National Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Twyla Tharp, among others. Presently, Natasha designs and creates unique costumes, garments and accessories with her good friend & business partner Catrice, as Mischief Maker Couture. They bring their special talents together in the creation of their bespoke clothing, cosplays, and dancewear. As a team, they have contributed to productions by Luna Chix, Rochester City Ballet, and have helped numerous individual performers bring their dreams and visions to life. To each and every dancer that she has the privilege to work with, Natasha offers her lifetime of collected wardrobe wisdom & experience.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Co-owner and Co-head Designer of Mischief Maker Couture Costumes</image:title>
<image:caption>Alongside Natasha Tripi, Mischief Maker Couture Costumes was started because Catrice and Natasha saw the lack of diversity in the costuming world. The sheer lack of representation for all shapes, sizes and skin tones that were not catered to, or if they were occasionally featured, those differences caused a significant upcharge. Mischief Maker does not believe that being Plus, Size or having a different skin tone should be seen as a challenge. It is a part of who we are and should be celebrated loudly. Catrice Fairuza is truly living out her dreams when she sees her creations on dancers, brides and anyone who entrusts her to create across the globe. We at Mischief Maker Couture Design have a passion for creating uniquely beautiful designs that truly speak to the soul of the individual regardless of their color, shape, or size. Dreams are made to come true; you just have to add a little bit of Mischief.</image:caption>
